A difficult kilim to classify with an exact origin! However, it speaks for itself with a powerful design and glowing colours.

The central part of the design is reminiscent of the Sagicara tribe from Adana region, whereas the 'skirts' (end borders) are more western Anatolia in their appearance.

The cross motif used in the side borders is a "hac", which guards against the glance of the evil eye.
